I owned and operated my own business for six years, a time that was deeply healing and restorative for me as a stylist. Leaving the big salon environment was crucial to slowing down and learning what I wanted for my career next. In the last year I have begun to offer group and one-on-one straight razor haircutting classes to my local stylist community here in Seattle. This year has been instrumental in understanding how I want to show up in this industry and give back to my hair community by offering education on a local level on my most favorite subject, straight razor haircutting. You can now find me holding classes at my salon home, zero.
Straight out of high school, I started my career at 17 in Seattle, WA at The Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. Upon graduation, I was hired by a well-established salon, Coupe Rokei, where I completed a rigorous two year apprenticeship and continued to grow my skills by attending countless classes with top educators and brands such as Bumble and Bumble, Oribe, R+CO, Corinna Hernandez, V76 and LaBiosthetique to name a few.
Education has always been an important part of my career, I have been fortunate enough to receive a wealth of education and mentorship opportunities. I quickly discovered my own love for teaching and joined an education team where I was responsible for mentoring and educating the salon's apprentices. I taught one-on-one haircutting and styling classes weekly for three years before I left to open my own salon, High Post.

Creativity, intuition and technical awareness are key principles that embody straight razor haircutting. This class will help you understand the foundations of this tool and the technical side of the razor while also giving you guidance on how to craft a haircut using your developed aesthetic and self-trust to create a look that is unique to the individual.
I will showcase two elevated yet functional haircuts, both with a shag focus. This class will be wonderful for stylists getting newly acquainted with the straight razor AND for stylists with more experience looking to broaden their razor knowledge or gain inspiration.

Let’s dial in your razor cutting skills by breaking down exactly what it is you need in a clear and methodical way. New to the razor? Great! Allow me to break down the fundamentals to aid in your success when cutting with this tool. Are you a more experienced razor cutter seeking to expand your skills? Wonderful! Let’s dig in.

Quality education that is actually worth the money is sometimes really hard to find. I offer group classes four times a year, once per quarter at my salon home, zero. I also offer one-on-one education on a monthly basis. Check out my class offerings for more info!
How often do you offer classes?
Yes! My classes are open to all skill levels unless otherwise stated. I truly believe there is something for everyone in my classes.
